So much readin in these ethnic studies classes....already finished 3 books...I feel like a geek....but it's interesting learning about different cultures and their struggles...I feel like I need a whole new class after this one that teaches about the psychology behind it all and how it effects us today....but yea...too much learning goin on in here....peaceasy

Here Ain't Home

I've had 3 homes in my life. But this here ain't home. Home was that town house in Chicago, Illinois where my brothers and I would play hide in seek, while stacks of my Grandfathers Playboys lay stranded amongst the carmel colored carpet, not to be touched or tampered with, while the dust collected on islands of furniture, furniture holding years of knowledge and wisdom.......

Bark Lane was the name where I met my first friend in the playgrounds who caused me great pain. I couldn't understand the shame in the new place we stayed in. California was way safer then the ghettos in Chicago where gunshots and drugdealers played chess with poverty, and gangs wrote blue cursive on granite paper. It felt like crossing borders into new land of opportunity like asians in the 1800's we would collect and return to our family in Chicago rich and successful...My Father had a real job, and while he worked my Mom a natural born beater/teacher beat arithmatic and the alphabet into us with belt, and when she couldn't find one she used the hot wheels tracks they had got us for christmas. Our only friends where white boys so atheist that they begain cursing as soon as they began to speak. Dad was having none of that, swore one time in his house beat me under my bed I was so afraid of the heat that he shed I layed there for hours until the monsterous snore brought hope of escape.

Whaddup...chillin in freakin hottass fresno.....the new apartment is tight....classes should be interesting....and yeah its college central up in here....no rules....no restrictions....everyone does what they want basically, hopefully shit wont get outta control, but we'll see how it goes. My Moms birthday is next weekend so I'll be back in San Jo for a few....i'll see yal later

Whats good........So ive been yelled at for not updating my xanga again so im doing it now. Basically ive got four goals this summer; to work out; get a job; read a lot; and the most important is driving (lol).... but yea im really excited to see everyone when they get back from school hopefully things can get back to normal around here and we can all hang like we used to without any awkwardness...Peaceasy

Whats good ??? Took my first "final" today....2 essay questions about a book....easy...2 finals to go, both on thursday...If I do well on both ill hav a 4.0 gpa for the first time in my life....its weird....im not a 4.0 student, or at least that what i felt like in high school...but fuck high school grades...I've started over and if don't get a 4.0 ill still hav a better gpa then i normally get so its all gravy...3 days till freedom...looking forward to summer....and also looking forward to next semester...moving into a new place rigth across the street from school so ill actually get to chill and hang....but yea right now its all about summer and focusing on my ish...

Happy birthday to my brother Chris...hes 21 now..
